Governing Body

The Governing Body is responsible for the overall management of the school.

Its main tasks are to ensure pupils receive high quality education, to plan for future development and improvement, and to support the school.

We have always aimed for partnership with parents, which undoubtedly bring great benefits to the children.  One of the most significant ways you can help in promoting this aim is to volunteer to be a parent governor.  Parent Governors are welcomed as a valued member of this team and play a vital role in ensuring the governing body is aware of the views of parents and the local community.

Our Governing Body is made up of community governors, LEA governors and elected parent governors (elected by other parents), each serving a period of 4 years. The Body’s main role is strategic, and the Governors work in groups to look after the well-being and development of various areas of school life.

The 4 committees we have cover the Curriculum; Finance & Premises; Professional Management and Personnel.
